Stop Finger Pointing

October 26, 2009

I often find myself surprised by how many people, and how often people fall into the trap of pointing their fingers at others, reflecting responsibility onto someone else's actions or behavior. I wonder what life on this planet would be like if each and every person took full responsibility for not only their own actions, but connected the dots long enough to realize that their holding onto energy often handed out wrapped in a BLAME BLANKET could actually be turned into productive, life changing attitudes and actions.
As the debate over Health Care Reform continues, and parties become even more crystalized in their 'righteousness', it is critical that we slow down, take a deep breath and SEE that we are connected to the actions of all people and that pointing fingers at others is only a detour from our accepting what ultimately becomes our own beliefs.
The path forward is clearly marked, "Work cooperatively. United We Stand. Divided We Fall."
Perhaps we should put into action the true meaning of these words.
